About Mechelen

The Grote Markt is the towns biggest marketplace. It is situated in the center    of the town and is surrounded by the most important civil buildings; city hall, post office and the Sint Rombauts cathedral with its 96 meters high tower.

The Mechels Broek is a protected natural environment on the edge of town.
Nature lovers from all over Belgium take long walks here, combined with a visit to the many historical monuments and buildings of Mechelen.

The Kruidtuin is a small park in the city center of Mechelen. Apart from being a little garden in the midst of shops and offices it is frequently used as an exposition site for statues by Belgian sculptors.
